At FiberComm we recognize how heavily our customers rely on our systems and services. We also recognize that the unexpected can and does occur-from simple situations to major outages. FiberComm has an extensive plan in place to provide service and protect vital account information in the event of a business disruption.
FiberComm and its affiliated vendors have pre-established contingency and disaster recovery plans. FiberComm has developed plans and implemented redundant systems that include the ability to recover from situations including, but not limited to, unplanned evacuations, power outages, fire, severe weather, intentional acts, and any facilities failures that may cause business interruption. Plans and systems are designed to account for business interruptions of various lengths. In order to maintain secure and effective plans, FiberComm does not provide the specific details in this notice, but you should be aware that FiberComm’s disaster recovery planning includes the following:
Restoration of Service
- Identification of mission critical systems and system backup and recovery for such systems.
- Implementation of redundant systems and equipment.
- Alternate communications between FiberComm and its customers.
- Alternate physical site locations.
FiberComm’s procedures for reestablishing service are contained within FiberComm’s Telephone Tariff #1, Part II, Subsection 7, Service Interruption effective 03/01/09 and as filed and approved by the Iowa Utilities Board.
